Description:

BlockStart is a pan-European DLT/blockchain partnership program. Its primary objective is to encorage goal-oriented, business-focused, and mutually valuable partnerships between DLT/blockchain solution providers and end-user SMEs. In its Second Open call, BlockStart is seeing for seed, early and growth stage DLT/blockchain startups from everywhere the EU and H2020 Associated countries. These 3 phase vivid partnership programs (ideation kick-off, Prototype, Pilot) will manage a fund of €265000 aimed at financing DLt/blockchain technologies in fields of fintech, ICT and retail, with nominated startups receiving up to €20000 equity-free funding per pilot.

The Offer:

This partnership program will give startups with access to a variety of advantages/perks, including equity free financing, access to piloting openings, mentorship, and exposure to investors and advisors. The chosen startups will go to a 6-month program that begins with ideation kick-off (a match between end-user SMEs and solution providers), after which the best innovation/technology providers are admitted to 4-month prototype phase aimed at supporting the DLT/blockchain product/market fit. During the 2-month pilot stage, startups working with blockchain and different DLTs will have a novel chance to validate their solutions and refine their products/items, develop their business, and work closely with potential customers (i.e. end-user SMEs) to recognize the DLT/blockchain solutions that best satisfy market need.

Eligibility:

Any European or H2020 Associated country startup that works with DLT/blockchain technologies in the fields of fintech, ICT and Retail is qualified as a participant and should fill in an online application form at F6S platform (http://www.f6s.com/blockstartopencall2/apply).

Collaborating with end-user SMEs:

One of the major objectives of BlockStart is to support collaboration between end-user SMEs and potential DLT/blockchain authorities, as technology providers, and to advance/promote knowledge about the advantages and opportunities of these technologies. Only SMEs operating in the fields of fintech, ICT and retail are qualified and ought to apply through the F6S platform to a dedicated open call for SME adopters, by filling in another online application form. Chosen SME adopters will benefit from up to €4500 equity-free financing and will get the opportunity to implement DLT/blockchain pilot solutions with the startups that have gone through the previously described BlockStart partnership program.
